The Wrestling Team sent nine Wrestlers to the District Tournament and finished a strong 4th place out of 48 teams. Winning one match for the Comets was Brad Williamson. Cody Beatty finished with two wins. Winning three matches and coming a match away from qualifying for the State Tournament was Nick Perry, James Jones, and Jay Firm. Corey Hinkle, Andrew Place, and Matt Place all finished 4th, 3rd, and 2nd to qualify for the state wrestling tournament. District Qualifiers: The Wrestling Team finished a strong 2nd place out of 12 teams at the Sectional Wrestling tournament. Nine wrestlers advanced to the district tournament. Corey Hinkle 103, Brad Williamson 125, Nick Perry 130, Nick Lesley 140, Andrew Place 145, James Jones 152, Matt Place 171, Cody Beatty 189, and Jay Firm 275 all placed in the top four in their sectional weight classes. Jason Faiella 135 and Brandon Cochran 160 both finished 5th and are alternates for their weight classes. The top four placers in each weight class at districts will advance to the state tournament.
